Agreed. There is a reason -- many reasons -- why state and local governments are finally passing anti-chaining laws left and right across the U.S. It is high time our "modern" society end the antiquated, barbaric practice of chaining a dog for its life. The practice is terribly inhumane and the byproduct is often a neurotic, aggressive animal.

Breeders and hunters are normally the groups opposed to anti-chaining laws. This isn't the place to debate the value of breeding to our society or to get into it over hunting, but reasonable laws nationwide have found ways to exempt these groups so that they can continue chaining dogs. A recent editorial called anti-chaining laws "no brainers." Check out www.dogsdeservebetter.org and www.mothersagainstdogchaining.org
